Fusion21 and the Tenant Participatory Advisory Service (TPAS) are working in collaboration to help contractors improve the way they engage with residents.
Both organisations are working together to ensure that contractors who are involved in providing repairs and improvements to residents homes are working effectively to deliver a high quality of engagement.
Fusion21 are adopting the TPAS Contractor Accreditation Standard as best practice to achieve this. Fusion21 will be incorporating the TPAS accreditation in all future OJEU processes and framework renewals as a part of the contractor’s quality assessment.
The TPAS Contractor Accreditation Standard is a quality assurance mark contractors can obtain to demonstrate the quality of their approaches to resident engagement. The mark will help to provide assurance to residents and will enable contractors to clearly demonstrate their methods are approved by TPAS, the national market leaders in resident engagement and involvement.
Dave Neilson, Chief Executive of Fusion21 said, “Fusion21 already adopt quality approaches to resident engagement with our supply chain. Our approach seeks to ensure that residents are involved throughout the duration of repairs or improvement works that may be taking place in their homes.”
“By adopting the TPAS Accreditation Standard into our procurement processes we will ensure that Fusion21 are offering our clients high quality services and working with a supply chain who can successfully engage with residents.”
Michelle Reid , Chief Executive, TPAS said, “Our Contractor Accreditation is the most comprehensive quality assurance of contractor’s approaches to engaging with residents that exists within the sector.
As the leading national tenant and landlord membership organisation we set our standards very high and this has proved effective in helping contractors to identify areas of strength on which to build and weakness on which to improve.
We are delighted to have formed this partnership with Fusion21 and with their clear commitment to demanding the highest quality of resident involvement and engagement from their contractors. “
