E2C Trainees Secure apprenticeships with Enterprise

Two trainees who took part in our most recent Entry into Construction training programme have managed to secure apprentices as Maintenance Operatives with Enterprise.

The 13 week programme prepares delegates to enter full time employment. The course helps to get delegates ready to pursue a career in constriction and helps provide them with an insight into the day-to-day working environment.

During the course the trainees gain qualifications in health & safety, first aid, obtain CSCS cards and go through a series of multi skilling sessions, all with the core aim of ensuring they are well equipped to enter employment in the construction industry.

Carl Cookson and Anthony Carney graduated from the Fusion21 E2C scheme and managed to successfully secure the apprenticeships with the help of the Training & Employment team.

Ian McDonough, Training & Employment Manager at Fusion21 commented, “All of the trainees taking part in our Entry Into Construction Course were invited for interview by Enterprise. The standards where extremely high and the interviewers had real difficulty in narrowing it down to just the two candidates. I’m extremely pleased for Carl and Anthony, they have worked extremely hard since their time with us and I wish them the very best of luck for the future. ”
