Business Planning- Social Enterprise
Fusion21 advised a London based Community Interest Company (CIC) on the development of their business plan. The CIC provided services to people with multiple disabilities and disadvantages. Continuity of service provision depended on the ability of the CIC to replace grant funding with reserve generated from selling services. We advised on the content and presentation of the business plan, focussing a sustainable financial plan.
The CIC is seeking to gain the benefits devised from providing commissions with a more effective and efficient offering that will allow the CIC to move to a more sustainable financial footing.
Strategic Procurement
We have been assisting a major Housing Association on the commercial aspects of a multi million pound procurement exercise using the Competitive Dialogue process to manage an estate in the North of England. Our advice covered:
- The commercial aspects of the bid taking into account the stages in the competitive dialogue procurement process and the need to develop a credible bid in the competitive context of Competitive Dialogue;
- Risk Transfer and how this can be sued to the Client’s advantage within the parameters laid down by the procuring Authority;
- All aspects of the Payment mechanism and how to ensure that the bid submitted used the optimum risk transfer profile for the client whilst mitigating potential risks to the Client as a bidder and potential operator.
Tender Advice
We advised a Construction Contractor on the completion of pre-qualification questionnaires for public sector contracts. The advice covered financial and technical disclosures in the PQQ and the certification required to present the Company as a credible bidder for major public sector works contracts.
Business Support
We advised a social enterprise on their business plan to provide support for people in London who have multiple disadvantages. The business case was predicated on the provision of an integrated service that would, by virtue of a holistic support package, result in significant savings to the various public sector agencies who currently deliver the service.
The focus of our advice was on the financial aspects of the business plan, namely profitability and financial sustainability, and teh links with teh operational aspects of the business plan.
